 Hi bloggers! 🐸 When I was like 10 years old I really wanted to be a Vet, because since I was a child I feel a strong connection with the environment and the animals who lives in there. That connection still in myself but now is focused in the society and to arrive to this point in my life I had to pass through many bad and goods events, I could made really bad decisions because the hard experiences but in myself the feeling to become better, to be someone who brings good feelings, become someone who can be every day a little bit better to herself and to everyone, that is my motor of life, that is the why a wanted to study about my society, latinoamerican people, Chilean people, because of the history of my people and the system that supposes to protect them. I study Social Work and the decision was very clear to me. When I was admitted I felt so happy and lucky to get here, the first of my Family to get in the university and now that I already know more facts about my career I am so excited and motivated to know about the society's ability to transform the conditions of their lives, i wanna to be a person who stay there with them, supporting them with all the tools that I can use in the future.

 Hi bloggers!🐸 I'm going to talk about a Chilean historian called María Angelica Illanes. With her work I’ve been able to learn about the chilean social movements. That is one of the fields that has inspired me to study Social Work. She is one of the most important historian because she has made a lot of research that talk about the social configuration of the Chilean history. About the proletariat movement and our history. She has made a big effort to rebuild the memory in every chapther of the Chilean popular history. She was born in 1949 in Santiago, Chile. She studied Pedagogy in History in the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) and Filosophy in the Universidad de Chile (UCH). Two years later she made an upgrade in History in the PUC. Last year she was nominated to the History’s National Award 2022 and she won a Atenea Award because of her book "Movimiento en la tierra. Luchas campesinas, resistencia patronal y política social agraria. Chile, 1927-1947".

Women who inspire me

Hi bloggers! The two women in the pictures are my motivation to be who I am, my mom and my grandma. I love them, they are an inspiration for me. Sadly, my grandma passed away 2 years ago. She was a very religious person, helped many lives, took care of children in poor conditions during the dictatorship, and is one of my motivations to study social work. My mom is all for me, she is the stronger person I have ever seen. During my childhood we passed through a lot, but she never left me alone and I never starved. My mom is also an artist. She sang in bingos and serenades. I grew up listening her beautiful voice and that inspired me to sing too. The photo is from one day that we went to visit my grandmother in her house, the love between my mom and her mom is beautiful and I think that they look pretty in that picture.
